Swanfield on Tour, the travelling boutique, has wanderlust again. This time the swans migrate to east london for a two week residency at the new Pacific Social Club in Hackney.
Since 2008, Swanfield has exhibited in Shoreditch, Soho and Hoxton, showcasing local independent fashion designers and artists with a strong focus on womenswear. For this pop-up we celebrate dressing up and dressing down by introducing some unisex pieces and some carefully selected vintage and workwear garments from as early as the 1890’s through to the 1930’s.
Swanfield and it’s founders, Cecilia Hammarborg and Katherine Pont of Mine, have appeared in Vogue, Elle.com, The Guardian, Style Bubble, Dazed Digital, Timeout and Twin Magazine.
We are very excited to be popping with The Pacific Social Cafe, where in theme with our travel bug, owners Nic Atwater-Goff and Liam Casey have a keen eye for the exotic. Wallpapered posters of curious wildlife, pre-colonial vistas and tropical birds, japanese match boxes, and tiled record sleeves immortalizing the sounds oozing out of their record player. We haven’t even mentioned the food yet… you will just have to come see for yourself.
So spread the word about our secret shop, and part the banana leaves of the Pacific Social Club, we are ready to play shop.
